Who we are
ProperFile is a legal software company based in Commerce, California. We build and support ProperFile, a cloud-based practice management platform for solo practitioners, small firms, and mid-size and large firms.
Most law firms run on separate tools for case files, calendars, time, invoices, documents and client communication, and those tools rarely agree with each other. ProperFile replaces them with one system, so attorneys and staff can open a client’s file and see everything without switching between applications.
The platform supports many practice areas, including bankruptcy, family law, personal injury, criminal defense, immigration and civil law. Customizable intake forms, email templates and automations let each firm shape ProperFile around its own workflow.
What every firm gets
Every plan includes the full platform: case management, billing and invoicing, time tracking, calendaring, tasks, document management, e-signatures, intake forms and a secure client portal.
ProperFile works with the tools firms already use. It integrates with LawPay for client payments by check or card, and with Google Calendar so events sync to the firm’s calendar.
